This charming hideaway, owned by HM The Queen, nestled within the heart of her much-loved Sandringham Estate country retreat and the closest estate property to Sandringham House itself, is all about an appreciation of the great outdoors and the beautiful gardens it sits within. Formerly the Queen’s head gardener’s home, as you would expect, the gardens are a sheer delight and provide a superb setting for this idyllic house.
Garden House offers charming and relaxed accommodation for eight guests set over two floors. Furnished eclectically from the Royal Collection, all the furniture and pictures were once housed in a royal residence. There is a choice of super-king or twin beds in two bedrooms (please specify on booking) The functional kitchen boasts an Aga and there is a comfortable sitting room overlooking the gorgeous garden, which is ideal for relaxing. As well as the formal Walled Garden with its wonderfully stocked beds and borders in which the property sits, there is a more informal garden where you can relax in and children and dogs are safe to run and play.
Within easy walking distance of the Sandringham Visitors’ Centre and the Sandringham Café & Coffee Shop (providing high quality, locally sourced menus), guests are able to enjoy a stroll around the Country Park, with over 200 hectares to enjoy in all. Children will love all the free space to roam as well as the large Adventure Play Area. The Estate also has the Sandringham Exhibition & Transport Museum, which is home to the largest collection of Royal vehicles in any one place, including the first motor car ever owned by a member of the Royal Family. With all this on the doorstep,you may forget that you are only a short drive to the stunning North Norfolk beaches, an area surrounded by beautiful, poppy-rich meadows, fields of lavender, quiet lanes ideal for walking and cycling plus many quintessential English villages, complete with pubs and duck ponds!

Dogs are welcome, but should be kept on a lead when walking through the formal fully-enclosed Walled Garden - they are free to roam in the more informal garden,
There is no access to the stud paddocks at the bottom of the Walled Garden (clearly signed "Do not pass").
