The Old Chapel is a charming detached property, situated in the quiet, picturesque rural hamlet of Churchill, just 3 miles from Axminster. The location makes it an ideal holiday base for exploring both Devon, Dorset and the famous Jurassic Coast. This former chapel has an open plan living area with feature windows and flagstone floors. The impressive design and delightful character combines to create a relaxing area for guests to unwind and offers all the convenience for a superb holiday within a short drive of Lyme Regis. The area is a haven for local wildlife at all times of the year and it is not uncommon to see deer grazing nearby from the kitchen window. This rural property is surrounded by trees and fields and the french doors in the lounge open onto a patio area where you can sit and enjoy countryside tranquility. The property is located in rolling countryside close to the border between East Devon and West Dorset, about 5 miles from the coast. The attractive market town of Axminster, home to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's famous River Cottage Canteen, is a short car drive away. Discover the history and heritage of this town at the local museum, explore the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, walk for miles in the stunning countryside and ancient woodlands, and explore the Axe Valley rivers – spotting otters and kingfishers along the way. The lovely seaside town ofLyme Regis is about a 20 minutes-drive and the whole of the amazing World Heritage Jurassic coastline, and its many attractions, is easily accessed from the tranquil property.
